FAQS

Please read through the below FAQ before placing an order.

1.  Who are you?

My name is John, and I am an avid RPG player from California, and I discovered that I could paint miniatures.  I love doing it, and I wanted to provide a service for other RPG'ers who maybe didn't have the time, or the resources to have a good looking mini.  The website itself was designed by my girlfriend, Kristen, who also takes all the pictures, and does all the updates.  She also handles all the shipping of the minis.  Together we are minipainting.com.

2.  What services do you offer?

We offer full service miniature painting, meaning, we will paint a miniature to your specifications, or you may purchase a generic painted mini from our selection.  We also offer touch up jobs, as well as a complete paint overhaul.

3. Do I have to pick from a miniature from your site?

No, you may purchase your own miniature and send it to us.  However, we will not pay for you to ship it to us, so don't ask.  If you do not wish to do this, and you can provide us with specific information about the miniature you would like painted (company, miniature name, or number, etc.), we can try to purchase it from a local retailer and add it's cost to your order, however we cannot guarantee their prices will be the same as ones you may be able to purchase.

4.  Is there a minimum order requirement?

No, we'll paint one mini, or a whole army, however, please be aware the larger and more detailed the order, the longer it takes to complete.

5.  How long does it take to paint my mini?

That depends.  The more detailed the paint job (as well as the number of mini's you order), the longer it takes to paint.  For a normal paint job, it can take 2-5 days to complete.  For more detailed jobs, it may take up to 7 days. Please remember, I am only one guy, and I do my best to provide timely service, however please place your orders with enough time to ensure you will get your mini when you need it.  If you have a rush order, we may be able to work with you, however it may incur additional charges.  Please contact us for details.

6.  How much do you charge?

Please see the pricing page for that information.

7. What kind of payments do you accept?

Currently. we only accept payments via Pay Pal, and cash or money orders.

8.  I received my mini, but I don't really like it.  Can I send it back?

We strive to paint your mini exactly as you have specified, if we have done that, and you just don't like it, then unfortunately we don't accept returns.  This is the reason you must be as detailed as possible when placing an order.  If we made a mistake, then please contact us regarding the issue immediately.

9.  I ordered an army, team, etc.  They don't all look exactly the same, can I send them back?

Because very figure is hand painted, some variations will occur from figure to figure.  We can not guarantee an exact replica, however we will do our best to make them resemble each other as closely as possible, to your specifications.

10.  I ordered a generic painted  mini from your selection, it doesn't look exactly the same as the picture, why?

Like the above question, even though these are not custom jobs, it is still hand painted.  Therefore, slight variations may occur.  Also, please be aware, the pictures may not accurately reflect actual item detail, in most cases the figure looks better "in person".

11. What shipping methods do you use?

It depends on the size of the order, and when you need it.  For most orders, we use Priority Mail, however, if you need it sooner, please let us know, and we can send it a different method, however please be aware, additional shipping charges will apply.  As well, if you specify you want it go UPS/FED-EX instead, we can ship it your desired method, but once again, additional shipping rates will apply.

12.  I placed a large order, you sent me a picture of one of my mini's.  Why?

On larger orders, especially armies, etc, we will send you a digital picture of one completed mini and wait for your approval before painting the rest.  This way, we can ensure you are satisfied and we don't paint an entire army for you, only to have you not like it.

13.  Are you on EBay?

Yes, however we do not have auctions up all the time.  If you would like to check, you can find us here: Thrawnkkar

14. Can I link to your page?

yes, if you would like to link back to my page, there is a banner available on the links page.  Please link back to www.minipainting.com.
